Physics Education Workshop
The Kentucky Association of Physics Teachers is pleased to sponsor a free half-day interactive workshop for teachers of physics and physical science Nov 5 form 9:00 a.m. to noon in conjunction with KAS Annual Meeting. 2011 KAS Annual Meeting attendees are invited to tour the Hancock Biological Station (HBS) on Kentucky Lake. HBS is a year-round facility providing scientists with a base of operation for a wide variety of field research and presenting students with opportunities for field-oriented classes, individualized instruction, independent research, and close interactions with researchers and faculty. Complimentary tours will be offered on November 5 (Saturday) at 9:30-11:30AM and 2:00-4:00 PM. HBS vans will transport participants; it is an approximate twenty minute drive each way. Please contact Gerry Harris if you would like sign up for a tour. Space is limited
